I have 22 prints left over from the Peoples Photgraphy Exhibition and I have no use for them, sooo I thought I'd try and sell them!

I'm selling them for $5 which includes shipping, worldwide! That's freakin cheap!

They're 5x7 matte prints on looovely paper and they're mounted on 8x6 mounting board.

We went to a 360 degree cinema, it had 9 screens and each one had different scenes of the D-Day landings, it was pretty cool but made everyone but me feel sick...

We went to Courselles-sur-mer to go bowling but you had to book it and we didn't, so we had a wander around instead.

I'm sitting in McDonalds at the moment catching up on blog posts, gotta make good use of their free wifi!

So on the 14th it was Bastille Day, we went to the harbour to watch the fireworks, they were pretty cool although I find I get bored fast while taking pictures of fireworks... I have a lot more but I haven't gotten around to editing them, I may or may not upload them again.

Today was a good day. We went to Dinard airport to collect Shane, he's over with us for a few days!

Dinard airport is so tiny.

We drove back to Erquy and discovered that there was a market along the beach! It stretched the whole length of the prom, it was crazy.

I bought these sweet globe bookends for €8, this insaaane coconut man for 50c and just as we were about to leave I spotted this lovely Canon FT QL camera on the last stall. I did some bartering, well dad did, we managed to get it down from €45 to €25, happy days! It apparently works and there's two lenses with it, so happy and I can't wait to try it out.

My new favourite thing. It's so weird but it cracks me up, love it.

I've been wanting a globe and bookends for a while now, so these are perfect.

We went to the harbour to show Shane what it was like, we got some ice-cream and churros and then went to the other beach to watch the sunset.

It's Saturday, we've been gone a week now. Only two left and I get to see my friends...

The weather was crap again today so me, mam and dad went out for a drive, Jess stayed at the house. We went to a brocante near us, I bought a sweet old Kodak camera, it was only €15! I haven't taken pictures of it yet but I will. I really wanted to buy this pineapple jug, it's the coolest thing I've ever seen. We're going to be going back and if it's still there it will be mine!

When we were finished there we headed into Pleneuf Val Andre and had a wander around there. We got some nice ice-cream, had a walk along the prom and had a look in the shops.

When we got back we went to the harbour beach part in our town, we played some machines and got some churros!

We went for a drive in the rain tonight, it was so misty and the rain was pouring. It reminded me of when I was small and when my dad would drive me around at night to get me to sleep, it never worked but it was nice :)

I'm not happy with these pictures at all.

It hasn't stopped raining today. We headed to St. Brieuc for the day, we planned on looking in the shops but the rain got too annoying and we left. I didn't take that many pictures either because I don't want my camera to drown...some sun would be nice for tomorrow...

The weather was awful today, it has been for the past few days. We hung around the house for a bit and then drove to Dinard. It was raining most of the way there but we had a bit of sun for walking around the town, then it rained just as we got back to the car, good timing much?

So the first day we just relaxed, it was a Sunday so there was nothing open because France is weird like that. We went for a walk along the harbour/beach area of the town and had a nice ice-cream :)

So I'm in France at the moment. We got the boat over this time, we usually fly. I was expecting worse but I was too drugged up on sea sickness tablets to even think about being sick and I slept for most of the trip anyway, which was nice.

The few times I was awake we just ate and then explored the boat, it was weird being in the middle of nowhere...

So I have really been neglecting this blog. It's not that I haven't been posting, I just haven't been taking any photos lately so there's been nothing to post.

I'm going away to France for 3 weeks on Saturday so I will be updating regularly from there so that's something to look forward to even though I'd rather stay home.

So I'm aware that I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I haven't really done anything worth posting about. College is stressing me out at the moment. I haven't been in since Tuesday, mental health days...

I have re-decorated my room but it's still in the process of being put back together so I'll take pictures of it when it's finished.

I went into town today with Shane and we met Jess when she was finished. I bought some paper and two rolls of film. We went to Dundrum too and I bought a lovely red moleskine to use as a diary, I miss keeping one everyday.

We took the commuter train in, Shane felt the need for a coffee. I was literally trying not to laugh out loud when he was buying it.

I went to take photos on the DART today for college, managed to get two rolls done so we'll see how they turn out tomorrow, hopefully they're alright, I'll have a little cry if not...

For those of you who don't know, I'm trying to put a portfolio together for college.

I have no idea what to include. I have notebooks and projects from the course I'm doing at the moment, but I want to pick maybe 10 pictures to get printed large.

I've kinda narrowed it down to these, I'd love if you could give me your opinion on these, tell me what to get rid of and suggest some other pictures you think would be better, either from this blog or from my flickr

I'm desperate here so I'd really appreciate any input! :)

I went to the Signal Arts Centre with Shane today to see about joining. I checked out their tiny darkroom and asked a few questions, might go back when the photography guy is there, I'll probably join for the craic. After we went to the beach to take a few photos.

Me, Jess and Shane went to Dun Laoghaire today to buy art stuff/take photos.

We walked all along the pier, I actually don't think I've gone there before which is a bit insane. It was really nice, it was sunny out too which made everything nicer. I took a ton of photos and I'm quite happy with them, for once.

I went to the beach today with my cousins. First time properly going there this year. They had a great time running away from the waves and occasionally getting caught in them!
We stopped for ice-cream and it was freeeeezing, but totally worth it. :)

Went to college as usual today, also took some DART photos for my project, tried out a zoom lens so I could take creepy shots of people without them knowing ¬_¬

For those of you that don't know, my project is on commuters so I have to take pictures of the different people that take the DART, I'm not that weird...I took about 20 shots today so I might go and finish the roll tomorrow before college, or after, we'll see what mood I'm in, although I would like to get them developed soon so I can see how they turned out.

Anyhoo, I took a few digital shots of Blackrock around the DART station, it's becoming my new favourite place, although I think I say that everytime I go there. There's sweet graffiti around and I forgot to bring my 18-55mm lens so it was really awkward getting shots of what I wanted, so I'll just have to go back again!

Enough rambling, here's some photos...

Since I didn't have my lens with me, I took this on my iPhone, I'm gonna re-take it when I go back, but this will do for now :)

I went to see the Kerrang! Tour last night, it was amazing.

I am so happy that I finally got to see The Wonder Years play live, I've been listening to them constantly for the past year now and I think I'd have gone completely insane without them. We missed the first few minutes of their set which was annoying since the doors opened at 7 and we arrived at 7:05, never been to a concert that started that quick before!They played really good though so it was nice to hear the few songs that they played.

Framing Hanley were next, I don't like them though so there's no pictures, they weren't awful but I just wished The Wonder Years got more time than they did :P

Four Year Strong played next, they were amazing! It was my first time seeing them too, they'd never played in Ireland before for some unknown reason, because the crowd seemed to love them, rightly so!

Then it was time for Good Charlotte, who I used to listen to years ago but like a lot of bands, I stopped listening to them, but they were amazing. I'm so glad I got to see them play, they played a lot of old songs which was great considering I don't know any of their new songs, but they were amazing live, harmonies were so good and they were great with the crowd. Such a good show.

Now it's picture time, as we all know, I'm awful at concert photography and once again I couldn't bring my 550D so I brought my dads camera this time, it was way better than my G9 considering it's just a point and shoot, but I got a few ok shots so I was happy enough.

So I went to see A Day to Remember last night, they were amazing.

Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turn out as amazing as the concert. I had to bring my G9 instead of the 550D (which I've yet to bring to any concert) so it's impossible to get a good picture, it's so bad with low light and basically everything, oh well, at least I have the memories and a lovely new t-shirt! :)

I went to the BIFE open day and to Choices in the Aviva, a college and careers exhibition thing...it was a fun day :) Still not sure what I want to do in life, but the free pens should keep me going until I figure it out...

I headed into town after to meet Shane and Jess (when her exam finished)

I wanted to buy a portfolio case but my shoulder went numb from the 2 cameras I had with me, so I didn't want to carry it around for the rest of the day.

I didn't take too many pictures today, well most of them aren't great so there's no point in uploading them and I brought one of my film cameras too so they'll be uploaded at a later stage whenever I finish the roll...

I'm going to go and die now. Feel so sick. dlfkjldksjfld. Need sleep.

So I haven't really posted in a while, 8 days to be exact! Not much has happened though, I've only really taken instagram photos so I'll upload all of those in a seperate post.

Today I went into the DIT photography open day, only 5 people from our class (including me) went, dodgy.

It was quite nice, very well organized but we were there a long time and I don't really think there was any need for that. The tour was good and the dark rooms are lovely, way bigger, cleaner and more advanced than our one in college, but that was expected! It's a nice college though, but I think I'll stick with IADT as my first choice :)

When we were finished at the open day we headed to the Bald Barista because the lads wanted coffee, I didn't get anything, but I'll try it one day...

We walked through Stephens Green to get to the bus stop, the pond was frozen!Well, there was a layer of ice on top, it was soooo cooool!

The light was also amazing today, I didn't edit any of these because I loved how they looked.

I walked to the bus stop with the others and I got the DART home, I wanted to take some pictures on it. I've been obsessed with reflections lately, I love how they can look like double exposures when they're clearly not, lovely.

Had a few minutes to spare before we collected mam, so we went to the Harbour.

I was trying to take pictures of the swans but this one kept following me so I had to get back in the car,hahaha!

I'm so freakin tired lately, being back at college has just been annoying so far. I just want to take pictures of stuff that I like and that I'm good at, is that too much to ask for?

I made a fantastic pizza for dinner, the base,sauce and obviously toppings are all homemade, it was beautiful. I was too hungry to take a nicer photo, meh.

I wanted to take some night shots but couldn't find my tripod, so here is a fairly shite out of focus shot that I kinda like for some unknown reason...I found my tripod when I came in from the garden, typical.

I'm going to re-shoot stuff tomorrow night with my tripod.

I went to the cinema today to see 127 Hours, it was really good, definitely worth the watch, unless you're squeamish, then you might want to look away when he's cutting his arm off...

Also went to see Due Date last night, so funny! :)

I've no pictures from today apart from this instagram one, I didn't bring my camera because I was just going to be at the cinema.

When we got home me and Jess made WAFFLES!
They're so freakin good!I think I have a new addiction, if anyone has any nice recipes then throw them my way! :)

I went into town with mam, Jess and Shane today. I bought two new navy pens in Muji. We went to the new Sound Bites Café in Tower Records, I got the potato, leek and broccoli soup, it was lovely, especially the brown bread! :)

Saw this along the way, someone drew eyes and a moustache on it, hahaha!

They're basically the only photos I took today, I started to feel like crap so I didn't wanna take out my camera.

I went to get lunch with Clare and Sinéad today, we went to Mamma Mia café, my new favourite place to eat. Unfortunately they had only re-opened after Christmas and had no pesto or mozarella, that meant I couldn't get my favourite Vesuvio panini :( I got a Sfizioso instead, it was lovely, it had grilled courgettes, provolo cheese and tomatoes. :)

I was focusing more on eating than taking photos...

When we got home Jess noticed the sky, it was insane!The colours were so good.

I started to clean my room. I got fairly far with it, sorted out my clothes and am more or less finished with my desk, also realised that I have more space in the boxes under my bed than I thought which is lovely. I'm hopefully going to be painting my room soon, I'm thinking a nice green/blue colour, something different but it will still look nice with all of my furniture and stuff, because it's all white/silver :)

I feel like painting but I haven't done it in years and I'm scared, I want to paint a fox with a bow tie, in my head I know what it looks like, but I'm scared to see how it will look on canvas :/

I listened to Whats Eating Gilbert on vinyl while I was cleaning, sounds so good but it's only got 2 tracks on one side and 1 on the other, so after a while it got annoying because I had to keep putting it back to the start, still fabulous though.

Cookies and cousins

My aunty and two cousins came out to visit us today, we haven't seen them over Christmas at all because we were stranded and they were sick. It was a nice afternoon. We gave them their presents from Disneyland, a magic facecloth and a really cool toothbrush, fun times.

I took a good few pictures, most were out of focus because they never really stay still, I was also told by Saoirse that I'd taken enough photos now, ha!

When they left we didn't really do anything, all I did was play hungry shark on my iPhone, new favourite app. We had dinner and I needed some cheering up so I made some cookies.

If you know me, you'll know that I like to make everything from scratch, the only exception is Betty Crocker icing, stress of getting icing sugar everywhere. Well, we were in Tesco the other day, doing a bitta shopping, and we saw that cookie dough that you buy and slice/bake yourself, we thought we'd try it.

The brand is Kooky Dough, we bought the triple chocolate chip dough, they also had one with cranberries, but they're just gross.

It comes wrapped in greaseproof paper, which is handy (I didn't use it though because I didn't want to use all of the dough) the dough itself is wrapped in cling film, which was a bit sticky to get off.

It was easy enough to slice them but the chocolate chips sometimes made it awkward, then again I probably should have used a sharper knife, so that was probably my fault.

You bake them at 180C, 350F and gas mark 4, nothing too complicated about that.

I did them for 8 minutes because our oven is pretty good, but some of the larger ones were still uncooked so I kept them in for 10.

When I took them out I tried to get them off the tray with a knife, but they sort of stuck so I had to use a fish slice, shouldn't really be that hard to take them off greaseproof paper!

Overall, they tasted quite nice. They had more of a biscuit crunch to them and I prefer them to be softer, but they were still nice. I think it was worth the money, but in future I'll just make my own, Rachel Allen has the best recipe in the world, can't go wrong!

New year,new lens.

Today is New Years Day. I'm not a fan of New Years, in general.

Shane and grandad came over for dinner, it was nice. They had chicken and ham, we had a nut loaf, yummo.

We went to Dundrum after, dad and grandad stayed here. I bought a shark mousemat and 8 pairs of 3D glasses, sweeeeet. We got a Starbucks and then headed home.

When we got home I took a few photos of Shane for his portrait project, we might try again with better light because there was too many shadows, should have gotten the flash gun.

About 8 me and Shane headed down to Bray to take some night shots of the lights and stuff. I wanted to try out my new 50mm lens. It was really cold. I didn't take too many shots because my hands were frozen, despite my lovely bear glittens keeping me warm, I just couldn't do it. I'm happy enough with the shots I got though.

We grabbed a quick womac before we came home, the only drinks they had were milkshakes, we asked for vanilla and got chocolate. It wasn't chocolate, it was vile, they really shouldn't be allowed call it chocolate.

New year, new blog.

It's going to be filled with mainly photos and interesting things I've done. Most of the time I just upload photos to flickr and tumblr, but there's only so many I can/want to upload, so this is where the bulk of that will be done.
